Janet Thaeler's experience emphasizes the quality of the scrambled eggs and the sizeable ham steak, rounding out the hearty start to your day.
As the sun climbs higher, the lunch menu unfolds, offering a selection that is both satisfying and hearty. Great small town cafe to get breakfast! If you want a small town cafe and a hearty breakfast, this is the place. It’s right on Main Street, can’t miss it. It’s been there forever. Is open on Sundays. Overall there aren’t a ton of options. I’m not really into pancakes but they were so good! Light with air bubbles and great flavor, whipped butter and good syrup . My breakfast came with 2 pancakes but I could only eat one of them. The scrambled eggs were good - so was the big piece of ham steak. They have kid’s meals which are perfect. They loved the scone. Service was friendly and quick. We sat in a booth. There’s a small salad bar. Small. And it has beets. That made me laugh. I stopped here to get some pie when I was in college and wanted to come back ever since. The ownership changed and I heard the pie isn’t as good as before, but I’m really happy with my breakfast and probably won’t eat again until dinner!

Went to Mom's Cafe for dinner, and then again for breakfast because it was so good. The staff was super friendly and fast. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Our whole family enjoyed their meals---burgers, mashed potatoes, trout, salmon, soups, salads, omlette, pancakes, eggs, biscuits, bacon and hashbrowns. My kids loved it. The portions were perfect too. We will be back again next year!

/I had a flat tire and was forced to spend the weekend in Salina. First day was Arby's and Dennys. Nothing bad both are ok. Second day I was asked if I'd ate ate Mom's Cafe yet. They said it's a must try. So I did, I ate lunch, dinner, breakfast and lunch again. I'm a cook and have most likely likey cooked more in volume that most retired cooks. I found the waitress, Sharon absolutely adorable and was surprised that she wasn't the owner. I figure that she is the face of mom's Cafe. The food was great. The service was great if it wasn't 1600 miles from home I would definitely frequent this Cafe. In defense of the dinner you can't season your food to everyone's liking. Nor can you please every customer. Some are never happy.

Omg!!!! Small town food to die for. Good portions, home cooking, and great customer service!!! They are good people. Homemade pies, ice creams, locals come through. It's cute cozy and just comfort, if you to get away from franchise vibes. Great special, mini salad bar (fresh n crisp). It's my go to stop when Im passing through tight schedule or not it is a must. I make time for their food.
